The FDU opens up completely new possibilities in the design of injection moulds and thus also in the design of the end product. The FDU completely prevents the formation of free jets. This means that the previously required baffles can be completely dispensed with in the design. This means that it is now possible to use the innovative wide slot nozzle to provide a direct connection even to very high ribs. This, of course, greatly increases the freedom and flexibility in component design.
